Richard “Rick” Kibbey
Lt Col., Ret., USAF
Ret. Lt. Col. Kibbey has over 28 years of experience in managing complex antiterrorism, force protection, law enforcement, physical security, and assets protection programs. He has commanded groups of over 500 security professionals both overseas and in the United States. His role, four-times, as Unit Commander, serving as an INF inspection escort, USAF liaison on the European Counter Drug Committee, headquarters Staff Officer, Corrections Officer at the US Disciplinary Barracks, Ft Leavenworth, and numerous squadron positions in law enforcement and aircraft security are other highlights of his career. He has further experience with the challenges of nuclear surety requirements through his work with the On-site Inspection Agency (OSIA) during the Intermediate Nuclear Force (INF) Treaty, antiterrorism efforts in Europe during the Gulf War, and various scenarios of law enforcement and security.
Ret. Lt. Co. Kibbey currently serves as a senior security consultant specializing in vulnerability assessments, bio security and healthcare security. He worked for ADT Federal Systems Division as a business developer responsible for increasing market presence in DoD. He organized the Force Protection Equipment Demonstration (FPED III), conducted every two years at Quantico, VA and is the premier forum for highlighting the latest “off-the-shelf” security and antiterrorism equipment available in the world.
