Message from CEA President F.G. “Buddy” Villines
Today's world presents an unprecedented array of complex security challenges for County Executives. As evidenced by the aftermath of recent man-made and natural disasters and anticipated dangers, local preparedness and local response are the essential means for saving lives and preserving critical assets during a disaster.
The CEA Homeland Security Resource Center will provide members with an additional knowledge base and resource capacity for understanding and responding to these challenging conditions. Counties cannot afford to completely rely merely on FEMA or the federal Department of Homeland Security if we are to effectively prevent or otherwise deal with such catastrophes. Our association needs a trusted, objective third party assessment of readiness.
The CEA Homeland Security Resource Center’s unique team of world-class experts can provide you with the information, expertise, and resources for assisting County Executives with making the right decisions for your jurisdiction. The CEA Homeland Security Resource Center will assist county executives with implementing their homeland security missions by supporting strategic planning and facilitating widespread and timely access to the best available training, information, objective consultative resources and tools.
The center addresses common concerns and is an indispensable resource for acquiring needed solutions, training personnel, and coordinating resources in all matters of homeland security and emergency preparedness. I encourage you to learn more about the CEA Homeland Security Resource Center’s services and value proposition by calling 1-877-352-8609 or sending an e-mail to info@ceahomelandsecurty.org.
