2007 User's Group Meeting at FDIC - Save the Date!

If you missed last year's meeting at FETN headquarters, you missed a great opportunity to shape the training coming your way, plus a great time of fellowship with the FETN Family! Don't make that same mistake again . . . pencil in April 17th in Indianapolis at the FDIC conference.

We are planning to gather at the FDIC conference on the afternoon before opening ceremonies to hear from you about the training we are providing you for the rest of 2007 and the early part of 2008. It is really important that you help us with this on-going project. The only way we can be on target with providing what you need, is for you to take ownership of the process!

Here are our notes from last year's conference. Notice a couple of the bullet points are why we are meeting at FDIC this year . . . because it is what you wanted!

• Attendees to the Users Group were very complimentary about the meeting. The attendees considered the most significant value from this meeting to be 1) the opportunity to network with other fellow fire service colleagues and; 2) to have the opportunity to participate and exchange content ideas with FETN.
• FRI attendees are not our target audiences. Sales team suggested that we utilize the FDIC show to hold the users meeting and to start to recruit early.
• We should hold the meeting for an afternoon during the FDIC show next year. We can have a forum for DVOD users (including those who are experienced and those who just started so they can exchange ideas, short cuts, etc) and another one for focus group user input during that time.
• If we have enough recruits, we can have a separate customer focus group (input session of our curriculum) for large urban/suburban vs. small rural groups to get a cross sectional input for content and programming and other issues.
