Wow!
Where has the time gone! Christmas is over and we’re into
2007! What happened to August?! As a kid I remember sitting at
the kitchen table with my mom and she would comment on how fast
time flies. Of course at 16 I felt time wasn’t going by
fast enough. Now I catch myself telling my two boys the same thing,
enjoy every day, maximize opportunity, and hold on to time boys
because it’s flyin’!
My career and technology has gone that way too. Boy has it changed
over the years, and it seems to go faster and get more progressive
everyday. I believe to survive the training and technological
environment we face every day we must constantly be optimistically
on the leading edge of our profession while maximizing opportunity
to its fullest potential. It seems that everywhere you turn there
is someone trying to grab a corner of the training market. And
modern technology gives them the opportunity to do it. However,
most don’t have the support team or optimal advances in
technology to stay out front. But they are still there trying,
and one day one may make it. And that is a formidable challenge
to be reckoned with.
Did I mention that I love a good challenge? Nothing keeps
me motivated and excited more than good old competition. That’s
what makes the American free marketplace so inspirational.
Most NFL football teams love the challenge of working and struggling
to win a Super Bowl. The challenge is fun, but once they reach
the top, the work really begins. Oh it’s still fun, but
you have to work harder to stay on top because everyone is
gunning for you. They want to be the next champion; the best
there is or ever was.
That’s the challenge I am inspired with here at the
FETN Team. We are the champion, that’s right #1, and
everyone knows it. And collectively as a team I’m excited
about staying at the top. Seeking and developing the best content,
the best delivery systems technologically available, the best
customer service, new and innovative concepts and ideas, wow
this is going to be a blast!!!!!! And what’s neat is
that it’s a team effort, from the top across the spectrum
to the night janitor. It takes every cog in the wheel to be
a success. What a ride it will be to look back across the struggle,
the hard work, the fun…..the success! I don’t know
about you, but I’m going to enjoy everyday, maximize
opportunity and hold on to time, because it’s flyin’!
