FETN
"The cost of training per member is lower with our FETN subscription. We can cut costs for training-related travel that leaves us shorthanded, and at the same time ensure that all our members receive the same information. Manpower is a big value savings for our volunteer department."

American Heat
High-rise Hotel fires
I watched the production of the MGM and Hilton Hotel fires for the first time today. I was very, very impressed! I thought the overall production was excellent. The combination of archive footage and interviews was quite strong and, along with the music, had a powerful impact on me.

So many times the facts are well represented and the footage is there but either something is missing or it is out of balance in some way. Your production walked a fine line between cold news and overly dramatized story telling. It was obvious that a great deal of production time and effort, not to mention creativity, was put into the programs. The special effects were particularly impressive. Again, not too many to detract from the real issues, but enough and well done to enhance the shows. The cut away of the hotels showing 360 degree views of elevators, stairs, etc. really caught my eye.

I have seen a number of programs about these fires (including one I did for the USFA) and this was the best one.

Sincerely,

Warehouses: Taming the Horizontal High-rise
"The American Heat, "Warehouses: Taming the Horizontal High-rise" which covered large square footage occupancies was right on target. Fires in these types of structures occur infrequently and contribute disproportionately to firefighter casualties. The concept the video uses of lessons learned, scenarios training, and proper preplanning is quite effective."

PULSE: Emergency Medical Update
"Pulse works best with the online syllabus and test, not just for getting C.Es, but for really being able to review the material more completely. The syllabi always has the latest information so medics and EMTs can stay current with the constantly changing world of EMS. The Green Valley Fire District continues to be very satisfied with FETN and Pulse programming. Your programs should be a welcome training tool in all Fire/EMS departments. FETN and Pulse are training dollars well-spent."
