Overview:
---------

This patch will update CMS 4.0.0 (released February, 2003)
to version 4.0.1.  Multiple bug fixes and several new
features have been implemented.  The new features include:

*Trainee auto-logout after 90 seconds of inactivity in CMS
 (if not in a unit or E-Test) 

*Pack feature (as a menu option for administrators) 

*Reindex feature (as a menu option for administrators and
 as an external utility named cms4util.exe) 

*Sort by authority level option when running User List
 report 

*Group Leader indicator on Group Information to show who
 (in a group) is a Group Leader...Uses * character 

*Added buttons to View a Unit/Take an E-Test for trainees
 to avoid confusion on how to logout and get help. 

*Error Log report to aid Technical Support w/ calls from
 customers. 

This release is a minor upgrade.  It does not require any
changes to your database.  Your database will not be
changed during the update process.  However, as with
upgrading any program, it is a good practice to make a
backup of your data before performing an upgrade.

Installing The Update:
----------------------

1.  Before attempting to run the update, you must
    have CMS 4.0.0 installed.  If you don't have
    it installed, the update will not run.

2.  Run the downloaded program (UPDATE.EXE).  This will
    start the InstallShield Wizard to guide you through
    the update process.

3.  Click the "Update" button on the welcome screen
    to start the update process.  You do not need to
    know where the CMS is installed to perform the
    update.  However, you will need administrative
    rights (as with installing any application) on
    Windows NT 4, 2000, and XP systems to properly
    perform the update.

4.  When prompted, you can elect to have a desktop
    CMS icon created.

5.  When the update is complete, click on the "Finish"
    button.

At this point, the update process is complete.
