Designed to be implemented six months after completing the highly
successful SAFESTART™ and Taking SAFESTART Home programs,
The SAFESTART Accident/Incident Investigation Enhancement Series
is a new reality-based training program that motivates employees
to examine close calls and minor incidents, not just serious accidents.
Employing both the SAFESTART states-to-errors concepts and the
Critical Error Reduction Techniques (CERT), this program examines
the root causes (human factors) of accidents in an effort to strengthen
the self-triggering method taught in SAFESTART. Actual safety
professionals review real accidents and re-enactments, discussing
the contributing factors of each accident in the language of this
new process.
