Validate Your Employees Skill Sets

The evaluation stage is the final step in the PRIMEed process. This is where you determine if an employee can actually apply what they have learned. A college instructor or an experienced professional at your company will oversee the evaluation, and upon successful completion, will validate the employee’s hands-on skills. A library-specific equipment list is provided as a guide for setting up the hands-on labs. In addition, the evaluator is provided with Evaluation Forms, Answer Sheets and Answer Keys, while the employee is given the appropriate Evaluation Instructions to navigate the evaluation.

Evaluation Components

Evaluation Instructions – Directions to the trainee for the hands-on performance evaluation.

Performance Evaluation – Checklist that documents an employee’s performance during the hands-on performance evaluation.

Answer Sheet – Document used to record an employee’s responses to questions asked or problems solved during the hands-on performance evaluation.

Answer Key – Suggested solutions to the questions posed in the Evaluations Instructions to aid the evaluator in judging performance.

Evaluator Notes – Special instructions to the evaluator related to preparation for and conduct of the hands-on performance evaluation.

Supervisor Notes – Special instructions for the supervisor while the employee works on the practice assignment contained within the Study Guide.
