This unit introduces the purposes of various reactions that occur in process systems. Covered are the basic concepts of inorganic reactions in terms of ionization, oxidation-reduction, and neutralization. Organic reactions are discussed in terms of alkylation, polymerization, halogenation, and hydrogena¬tion.
