Tales From The Road
Tragedy Strikes While Changing A Tire
A recent retiree had purchased a R.V. and had plans to travel the country with his wife. After a year of short trips near their home the couple decided to load up for a cross-country trip that would take several months to complete. While preparing the R.V. for the road the gentleman noticed that an inside tire had a bubble in the sidewall.
He raised the vehicle with his jack so he could crawl under for a closer inspection. Tragically, he did not use jack stands. While under the vehicle the jack slipped and he was crushed to death. He was 57 years old.
