Spring 2007

Winds of Change

Welcome to the Spring Edition of the LETN E-NEWS. We appreciate your response to E-NEWS and invite you to both follow and participate in the continuing growth in the exchange of current law enforcement information.

The winds of change in our profession are constant and demanding. As police professionals, we are faced with increasing and evolving challenges in community relationships and neighborhood crime management. Additionally, we must address technology integration; personnel issues in recruiting, training, ethics and morale; just to name a few. The demands for responsible leadership at all levels test our skills, training and resources. We acknowledge the necessity of leadership skills at every level of Law Enforcement, from the Chief of Police, controlling and orchestrating the organization toward its mission, to the street level leadership of the Police Officer developing neighborhood crime consciousness, while projecting the image of professional integrity.

In response to the growing demands for innovative approaches to insure organizational success, LETN will be introducing a Leadership Series later this year, that will provide the working tools for leadership success at all levels of the organization. I believe that you will be pleased with the quality and approach of the presentations.

We at LETN value the partnership we enjoy with your organization. Be assured that the training we provide will be designed to keep pace with the rapid changes we all experience in Law Enforcement and that the high standards to which you have become accustomed will be maintained.

Let me hear from you. Your input is always welcome.
