CARROLLTON, TEXAS – November 28, 2006 – TWL Knowledge Group, Inc. (www.twlk.com) and the Missouri Department of Conservation today announced their agreement to build a statewide online training program providing approved Continuing Education Units to Law Enforcement professionals through the State Police Officer’s Standards and Training (POST). The Law Enforcement Training Network (LETN) programs are supported by PRIMEnet™, a Learning Management System designed to enable training managers to:

  • Assess learners' knowledge gaps
  • Prescribe individualized curriculums
  • Enroll students and schedule classes
  • Deliver consistent training to all learners - no matter how widespread
  • Track learner progress
  • Generate custom reports
  • Certify skill competencies

The agreement showcases TWLK and LETN’s “must have” state-specific training based on Missouri’s training guidelines. With this agreement, subscribers to TWLK’s Law Enforcement Training Network (LETN) will now have access to the complete LETN curriculum of over 200 full-motion video training programs streamed directly to the Officer’s desktop and completed at his or her choice of time, a proven cost-savings to the state.

LETN updates course selections monthly with approved online courses and tests to continually provide the latest technology and methods in law enforcement.

Law enforcement agents for Missouri’s Department of Conservation routinely make contacts with landowners who have wildlife depredation or nuisance problems, poaching or trespass problems and a host of other needs. Its protection division cooperates with the Conservation Federation of Missouri in administering “Operation Game Thief” and “Share the Harvest” programs. Protection Division personnel must be well-versed in all major Department programs at the local level.

Dennis Cagan, CEO and President TWLK, said, “The agreement with Missouri State Law Enforcement affords TWLK the opportunity to significantly enhance the training and education we offer to law enforcement professionals and further allows for the acquisition of a greatly expanded knowledge base in the new day of emergency preparedness. LETN’s training programs and the PRIMEnet™ Learning Management System is precisely the right combination for fulfillment of Missouri State training requirements and what police officers will need to best equip themselves to protect community lives and infrastructure.”

“The Missouri Department of Conservation is excited about having the opportunity to work with LETN to deliver quality Law Enforcement training to officers in the state of Missouri,” said Roy Hoggatt, Program Supervisor for Protection Division with the Missouri Department of Conservation. “Through the efforts of LETN’s content development and learning management system team, we now have a customized training catalog that consists of online training programs, course materials and post tests which cover the four areas of study mandated by the Missouri POST. LETN created this custom enhancement specifically for the state of Missouri and we appreciate their dedication to Law Enforcement training in the state. We look forward to working with LETN now and in the future and we appreciate the fact that LETN chose the state of Missouri to set the standards of distant learning in Law Enforcement.”

About the Missouri Department of Conservation
The Missouri Department of Conservation was conceived at the low point of U.S. conservation history. Unregulated hunting, fishing and trapping and the abuse of forests had decimated the state’s natural resources. Missouri sportsmen devised a solution that was as simple as it was revolutionary. They drafted a constitutional amendment creating a non-political conservation agency. Voters approved the amendment in 1936 by a margin of 71 to 29 percent, one of the largest margins by which any amendment to the state constitution has ever passed. It gave Missouri the world's first non-political, science-based conservation agency with exclusive authority over forests, fish and wildlife

The Protection Division is responsible for enforcement of the Wildlife Code and related statutes on both private and public lands. While Protection Division is charged with the responsibility for resource law enforcement, conservation agents perform many other duties. Conservation agents are assigned to each county in Missouri, and represent the Department in a wide variety of programs. Agents provide conservation information and education through newspaper articles, adult and youth meetings, exhibits, clinics, and radio/television programs. Protection Division personnel provide basic information and materials for fish, wildlife and forest management to Missouri citizens. Conservation agents routinely make contacts with landowners who have wildlife depredation or nuisance problems, poaching or trespass problems and a host of other needs. Protection Division cooperates with the Conservation Federation of Missouri in administering Operation Game Thief and Share The Harvest programs. Protection Division personnel must be well versed in all major Department programs at the local level.
