Dallas, Texas (March 22, 2006) – TWL Knowledge Group, a subsidiary of Trinity Learning Corporation (OTCBB: TTYL) and PoliceOne.com, an operating unit of the Praetorian Group, announced today a joint venture that will combine the assets and expertise of TWL Knowledge Group’s Calibre Press division with PoliceOne assets, expertise and management to continue and expand the Calibre Press mission.
Today, Calibre Press provides public and custom Street Survival Seminars attended by thousands of law enforcement professionals annually. Founded in 1985, Calibre Press trains individual officers on the critical safety and survival skills they need to keep themselves and their communities safe. The joint venture will continue to deliver seminars, custom training programs, products, news, and services for the law enforcement community, continue Calibre Press’ partnership with TWL Knowledge Group’s LETN, and develop new products and services. The new joint venture will be based in San Francisco and operational support will be provided from TWL Knowledge Group’s global learning center in Dallas.
“For more than 25 years, Calibre Press has stood as one of the most respected names in law enforcement training,” said Alexander S. Ford, CEO of the Praetorian Group. “PoliceOne has become the largest and most trusted source for law enforcement news and training information and has built a membership base of over 100,000 officers nationwide. This joint venture creates a platform through which to revolutionize law enforcement training and allows us to more effectively execute on our mission of providing officers with information and resources that make them better able to protect their communities and stay safer on the streets.”
“We believe the joint venture will accelerate Calibre’s growth and value to our customers going forward”, said Rich Marino, Chief Executive Officer of Trinity Learning Corporation. “It immediately gives each organization a larger footprint in the market, shows our ongoing commitment to the police and law enforcement community, and should create new business opportunities for us in the future.”
