Dallas (June15, 2007) – TWL Knowledge Group has been awarded a contract extension by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Division of Customs and Border Protection (CBP) to provide its satellite-based training and communications network, CBP-TV, to officials and officers in 533 locations along the nation’s borders.

The $1.2 million contract extension provides CBP’s training information on the latest techniques in critical emergency response, homeland security, safety and health issues to individuals staffing the country’s front-line of domestic defense.

According to TWL Knowledge Group Vice President of Government Solutions Lonny Wilder, “This contract extension to support Customs and Border Protection as they secure our nation’s borders is a testament to the commitment LETN made in 1989 to serve the training needs of the law enforcement community. We have invested heavily in a secure, content-rich training and communications platform. Since 2000, we have been integrating our capabilities to create a solution that now enables federal, state and local law enforcement to interconnect and consistently train all first responders in a way that will save lives.”

TWL Knowledge Group, a division of TWL Corporation (TWLP.OB, www.twlk.com) based in Carrollton, Texas, was originally selected to implement the CBP training program based, in part, on the strength of LETN. This network is focused on the creation and delivery of vital emergency response and preparedness training, news and information to first-responder professionals and government service agencies. LETN is currently being utilized daily by approximately 175,000 federal, state and local Law Enforcement personnel.

Through CBP-TV, LETN provides CBP officers and officials with:

Law enforcement training, news and information 24 hours a day, seven days a week
Up-to-date anti-terrorism and homeland security training
CBP-specific training
CBP communications, including rebroadcasts, press conferences and live events
Access to other TWL Knowledge Group content
