Dallas, TX – April 5, 2006 – Trinity Workplace Learning, a subsidiary of Trinity Learning Corporation (OTCBB:TTYL - News), announced today that its Professional Security Training Network (PSTN) is releasing a new 8-part training series designed to benefit professional security supervisors. Available in videotape, DVD and Desktop Video on Demand (DVOD) formats, this training series will help security supervisors develop the leadership skills and sound operational knowledge necessary for successfully managing frontline personnel and critical security functions associated with a supervisor. Skill-building topics will include leadership, communication, customer service and prioritization. In addition, the series will address sound rules and procedures for reducing business risk, preparing for emergencies, managing crises, communicating sexual harassment laws and investigation methods, and developing world-class professional standards.
“We are continually looking for new and improved ways to facilitate the role of the security professional,” stated Mark Vevera, Vice President of Marketing and Product Management for Trinity Workplace Learning. “By creating a training series specifically targeting the supervisor, we believe we are meeting a market need that is seldom addressed satisfactorily. We understand that the protection of people and assets is the primary mission of security officers. We also recognize the importance the supervisor plays in accomplishing this mission.”
Each course includes a multiple choice posttest ranging from 12 to 20 questions. The DVOD format utilizes testing that is integrated with Trinity Workplace Learning’s Web-accessible Learning Management System (LMS), enabling the results to be automatically scored and documented for streamlined record keeping. With this format, training managers have more time to spend safeguarding a company’s clients, officers and assets.
“The transition from a security officer to a supervisor can be tough,” said Debbie Clark, Director of Sales for the Government Services Group of Trinity Workplace Learning. “Even experienced supervisors can struggle making sound decisions and finding the right balance between being approachable as a leader and building respect within their shift. We really feel this series addresses both veteran supervisors and those new to the supervisor role in a manner never before presented so effectively and succinctly in one complete package.”
